    3. Surnames: McCaughey, Dillahunty, Saul, Morehead, Crookson, Baker, Scott William F. "Bill" McCaughey, 83, a resident of Blytheville, Arkansas, died on February 10, 2002 while visiting at the home of his daughter in Des Arc, Arkansas. He was born October 2, 1918 in Olex (Oregon) to John William and Orpha McCaughey. He grew up in Oregon, Washington and California. He was drafted into the U.S. Air Force in 1941 and was stationed at Blytheville Air Force Base. While there he met and later married Mary Kathryn Dillahunty. After they married he left for Japan during W.W. II. He completed watch making school in Houston, Texas in 1951 and owned and operated a jewelry store in Blytheville where he worked up until the time he became ill in August of 2001. He was a member of the American Legion for 53 years, a member of the Chickasaw Saddle Club, a former member of Kiwanis and had served as president of the Downtown Merchants of Blytheville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Kathie Saul and her husband, Dean, Des Arc; and Jeannie Morehead and her husband, Ron, Blytheville; a son, John, Blytheville; a sister, Maryalice Crookson, Portland; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathryn; two sisters, Odie Baker and Willamae B. Scott; and two brothers, Carl and Buddie. Funeral services are being held February 13th at the First Baptist Church in Blytheville and burial is in Elmwood Cemetery. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in care of arrangements.
