Many thanks to this list and especially to Jacqueline, Pat, Mabel and Peggy. The John Gisch who was "found" (and his wife, Martha) are indeed the ones I've been looking for! I am so excited to finally "find" them! Of course, now I have even more questions! Can someone guide me to a current map of Oregon that would show me where Linn and Yamhill Counties are located. What are the major towns or cities in that area? Is there any way to find out a name/location of the cemetery where John and Martha GISCH (or GISH) are buried. If there is an active church still associated with the cemetery, I'd like an address to which I could write for more info. Also, thanks for the info on requesting an Oregon death certificate...I will do that, hoping to find info on children of John GISCH. Would anyone have a suggestion on how to find an obit for John GISCH? What towns or cities were there in Linn County that had a newspaper in 1932, from which I might find an obit for him? Now that you've helped me find John and Martha, I'd like to find their children and/or grandchildren. In fact, if I could find a living descendent, I have photos of the parents of John GISCH (Karoline nee AWE and Fredrick Christian GISCH) that I'd be glad to share, as well as extensive genealogy on my AWE line. I am so excited to have discovered this wonderful list. Many thanks again for all your assistance! Carol AWE
