    3. Surnames: Woodrum, Icenogle, Weishaar, Owens, Beck Floyd "Woody" Leroy Woodrum, 98, a resident of Wasco (Oregon), died at the local hospital on Sunday, February 17, 2002. He was born February 1, 1901 in Bonner Springs, Kansas, the fourth of eight children to Thomas Sherman and Laura May (Icenogle) Woodrum. He worked construction in the Midwest. While working in Iowa he met and married Gertrude Weishaar on June 26, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri. During WWII he worked at Hanford (Washington) and continued in construction in the Northwest until his retirement in 1969 when they moved to Wasco. He was a member of Unity Church and the Operating Engineers Local 701 for 59 years. He enjoyed snow-birding for 20 years to Arizona and eating, especially apple pies. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Gertrude Woodrum; a son, Melvin L., and his wife Jean Woodrum, Wasco; three grandchildren, Dan Woodrum, Wasco; Debra, and her husband, Harold Owens, Troutdale (Oregon); and Julie and her husband, John Beck, Ontario (Oregon); 12 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a brother, Roy Woodrum, Iowa. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Rick and Monte, two brothers and four sisters. Viewing visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 at Sunrise Cemetery in Wasco, with Pastor Bob Stone officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
