    3. Surnames: Larsen, Wilson, Cramer Louis Jay Larsen, 71, a resident of Dufur (Oregon), died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at a local care facility. He was born September 12, 1930, in Bend (Oregon), the eldest of two children to Louis theodore and Ruby Elizabeth (Wilson) Larsen and grew up on a ranch at Kaskella near the Deschutes River. Following his graduation from Madras High School he served as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He married Charlotte Cramer in Madras in December 1951. He owned an auto repair shop in Madras (Oregon) for a number of years before moving to Portland in 1970, where he worked on power line construction as a member of Local 125 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He retired to Dufur in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and league bowling. In addition to his membership in the I.B.E.W., he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masonic Lodge in Madras. Survivors include his wife Charlotte and his daughter Deborah, Dufur; a brother and sister-in-law Harry and Alberta Larsen, Culver; and a sister-in-law Doris Cramer, Roseburg (Oregon); and six nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at the Dufur Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, with Asa Jenson presiding. A gathering of friends and family will follow at the Larsen home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research or to the Oregon Epilepsy Foundation. Arrangements were by Columbia Cremation and Burial.
