Hello List: I am in need of some advise and/or a lookup. I have a person who died in Paisley, Lake County, OR. I haven't a clue as to what the name of a newspaper might be where I might find a death notice/orbit. The person is Herbert B. Dunn (born 4-15-1918 OK) and died 3-11-2001 in Paisley, Lake Co., OR. I am endeavoring to locate/obtain a copy of the death notice/obituary. Any assistance appreciated.

Hii peoples, Greatings from the Geanealogy Master. For questions like this I usually start with a queary to the local chamber of commerce. They can usually enlighten one with info as to what cemetaries are available in the area, their locations, and how long they may have been in existence as well as other info. Next, the County Library, referance line/dept, for information and look-ups. There are some web sites available that have some info. The largest collection is held by Ancestry.com. it is a paid web site as is most others. You may also inquire as to what Genealogy Societies may be in that area. They may have some records. The Oregonion maintains a library for only 12 years and no farther. However, older issues were microfilmed and are on file at the Multnomah County Library in downtown Portland, Oregon. The area code is 503 and yes they do have a referance line. I seriously doubt if they would have what your looking for but you never know. Good luck!
