As a part of Historic The Dalles Days visit the Rorick House Museum, 300 W. 13th Street in The Dalles, Saturday, September 16, 2006 to view the 1895 Wasco County quilt featuring the names BOLTON, BROOKS, BROWN, CLARK, COLLIAR, GILBRETH, HAMMOND, HANNAH, H.C.D., HENRICE, HILL, JAKSHA, McREYNOLDS, PASHEK, REMINGTON, WALKINS, WARD and YOUNG. Other quilts will also be on display. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Album quilts were popular in the mid 1850-1880s when people moved about the United States as remembrances of where they had moved from.
