Surnames: Moore, Gillaspie, Kingsbury-Newman, Woods, White, Guy David Orrin Moore, 77, a former resident of The Dalles, died in Mesa, Arizona on November 14, 2001. He was born in The Dalles and remained in the northwest for more than 40 years, residing in both the Portland and Seattle areas. He served the Marine Corps as a corporal during World War II and was wounded in battle in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Teamster's Union for nearly 50 years, driving cross country for nationwide trucking firms. Survivors include four children, Linda Gillaspie, Phoenix, Arizona; Susan Kingsbury-Newman, Kirkland, Washington; Diane Woods, Bellevue, Washington and Jim Moore, Anchorage, Alaska; and two sisters, Rose White, Chickasaw, Oklahoma and Violet O. (Moore) Guy, Glen Carbon, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, at the IOOF Cemetery in The Dalles. Smith Callaway Chapel is in care of arrangements.
