Katie: The marriage index is another story. There is an index from 1906 - 1924 then not until 1945 to present. The 25 year break means that there are certificates but NO index. I was just talking to a friend of mine that is planning on doing that 25 year index, however, they have to be able to access the certificates. They are working on it. I have the index from 1906 - 1924 and if you know that Clarence and Josephine were married during that time I will try to look it up for you. I'm planning on have the marriage index on my web site but it's a little way off. The Death Index is on my site and that is still a work in progress. I have the dates that are complete on the site and its is FREE. I have some contacts that are able to get me some BIRTH records also. But no guarantee because the actual Birth index is restricted and it takes some work to get them. Sharon,may i request a marriage lookup on that index? my great aunt was AGNES MOORE,she was from TN, but she was married before,no name known,had 2 kids,when she went to oregon around 1900.she may have kept the married name,she married in oregon to a HUGHES?
