WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? She asked, took about 5 seconds to answer. Thats it! Don't get so uppity and relax a little bit! As far as I'm concerned this list is for any question no matter how dumb it may seem to you. All genealogists should have access (either on their desks or their computer screens) to an atlas or map showing counties. A "What county is Podunk in?" query should never be posted to a mailing list, in "netiquette" it is THIS that is considered rude. Sue is lucky this is a western list, she would have been flamed mercilessly on an eastern one. The people on this list are indeed kind and polite, and very tolerant. I did check my atlas but it doesn't show the counties. I thought by posting the query and my interests at the same time, I might get lucky and find someone researching the same family. ==== OREGON Mailing List ==== Welcome to the OREGON LIST To Search the OREGON-L or leave the lists use this link to the Oregon-L web site http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/OR/misc.html ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
