    3. Surnames: Pace, Lindemann, Pfeiffer, Celeski, Beisse William "Bill" Leon Pace, Jr., 45, a resident of The Dalles, died at the local hospital on Sunday, March 31, 2002. He was born September 27, 1956, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the second of three children to William Leon and Jeane E. (Lindemann) Pace. He grew up in Longview, Washington and graduated from Mark Morris High School, in the class of 1975. He entered the Army and served to 1980, then returned to Longview, where he worked at his own plumbing business for serveral years. He moved to Portland in 1984, living there until the mid 1990's when he moved to Central Oregon. He came to The Dalles in 2000 and was currently working for True Value Hardware. He was active in Alcoholics Anonymous and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Maria Esther (Pfeiffer) Pace, whom he married on April 3, 1976, in Longview; his son, William L. Pace, III of Union (Oregon); his father, William L. Pace, Sr., Denton, Texas; his sister Janice Celeski, Castle Rock, Washington; a nephew, Braden Beisse and nieces, Jessica and Kristen Celeski. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeane, in 1991 and his sister, Diana L. Pace, in 1993. A private family service will be held on Saturday morning. A public gathering of friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Unity Recovery Hall, 10th and Pentland Street. Private cremation held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Unity Recovery Foundation, P.O.
