Surnames: Koznek, Landby Luella Margaret Koznek, 89, a resident of The Dalles for 49 years, died in Portland on April 2, 2002. She was born November 26, 1912 in Badget, Missouri. She was a primary school teacher for 22 years and was principal of Chenowith Primary School for 25 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Central Oregon Elementary Principals Association, and served as president of that organization in 1960-61. She retired in 1978. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and enjoyed visiting with family, friends and former students and her special friend, Lester Workinger. She married Clarence Koznek in 1937. He died in 1981. She then married Leonard Landby in 1993. He died later that same year. Survivors include sons, Curtis Koznek, The Dalles; Arlan Koznek, Portland; and Clare Koznek, Sandy (Oregon); nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Disposition was by cremation. A public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Zion Lutheran Church in The Dalles.
