Give as much information as you know regarding the person you are seeking the obituary of: Full name, married whom, date of death, cause of death if known, city and county where death occurred. SKS will probably search locally for information for you. Some obits can be obtained from newspapers on line. I like www.newslink.org Most of the newspapers seem to have begun archiving their obits about 1997 and later. Some give free access, some ask payment, others only keep information available for a week or so and the rest don't offer access to obits at all. A source for finding newspaper leads of published obits is http://www.rootsweb.com They have a link to Obituary Daily Times. It does a surname search, gives age, city of birth (if known) city of death and newspaper obit was published in and the date of the publication. Genealogical societies do searches for a minimal cost in their local areas. Contact them. Good luck in your search.
