George Forman, born 1841, left Lincolnshire, England in 1862 and died in Oregon in 1906. He passed through New Zealand where he was last sighted in 1871 on an electoral roll. We can find no record of a marriage for him in NZ. The first spotting we have of him in the USA is 1874 when his wife gave birth to a daughter, Jennie E Forman, in Boring, Oregon. Two years ago, in response to an earlier request, I received a wealth of information about George and his family based on burial records from Damascus Cemetery. Now that I can narrow down the likely time of his marriage, I wonder if anyone is able to look for a marriage of a George FORMAN to a Sarah WEBSTER, roughly 1871 - 1874 in or near the town of Boring, Oregon? Or can anyone point me to some on-line source where I can check this myself? And is there an on-line site for checking passenger lists of ships arriving in Oregon, presumably Portland?
