He passed through New Zealand where he was last sighted in | 1871 on an electoral roll. We can find no record of a marriage for him in | NZ. The first spotting we have of him in the USA is 1874 when his wife gave | birth to a daughter, Jennie E Forman, in Boring, Oregon. Two years ago, in | response to an earlier request, I received a wealth of information about | George and his family based on burial records from Damascus Cemetery. Now | that I can narrow down the likely time of his marriage, I wonder if anyone | is able to look for a marriage of a George FORMAN to a Sarah WEBSTER, | roughly 1871 - 1874 in or near the town of Boring, Oregon? Or can anyone | point me to some on-line source where I can check this myself? And is there | an on-line site for checking passenger lists of ships arriving in Oregon, | presumably Portland? | | Marshall Forman | | Marshall Forman | Adelaide | South Australia | |
