Dear Olga, Welcome to the list. Since she died in California, you can look her death records up on the California Death Records at rootsweb. It should show the father's last name and the mother's maiden name, UNLESS they were not reported. Here is the site: http://vitals.rootsweb.com/ca/death/search.cgi You can search by name, death date, place, ect. You may need to be creative on how you search to find the exact match. Don't give up, if you switch the data around enough, it should come up. The record will be in the legal name that she had at time of death, so if she married someone you don't know about, just use her first name and leave the last name open. Additionally, you can request a Death Certificate Transcription from another list, the one where she died. Go to rootsweb town/county converter, and find the county for Yuba, California. Then subscribe to the list for that county and ask someone to go and look up the death certificate for you. There maybe someone who can do that for you, or if not, someone could provide you with the address to write for a death certif. copy. Godd Luck to you in your search from far away.
