Hello Sandy, I checked the census you listed - no Mabel. How old is Mabel? There is a Mabel VanMeter living in IL (51yrs) and one in KY (27yrs). Might either be the one you're looking for? Priscilla

Ok this is a tough one because there is no data, no historian in my family or no internet looking has provided any info. Please dont suggest I do a net search, Ialready did that. What I need to know is this Any one doing Cemetery transcribing I need to know if any one might be able to find a Julia Rowe any place in Oregon or Modoc Co CA. and we dont know the date, she could have died from 1890 to 1920 Maiden name was Julia Ann Cooper m Matney then Rowe , could have had a divorce from Rowe and remarried, but that is not to likely but possible , at any rate I need help of many minds to break this one. Also Walter J Matney who was on th eOregon Trail with Applegate 1843 died intestate in Modoc 1873, I have a probate but it mentions nothing about a burial or where, it mentions it was continues in Marion Co ( any one look this up?) How would I find out how he died in Modoc CO Right now I am sitting with a messed up cartilege in my knee and cant drive any place much. I was hoping some one who goes all over doing research might be able to do this.
