I am researching Effie Catherine Leach born March 21, 1878 in Salem, Columbiana Co., OH. She was the sister of William Edgar Leach. I know that W. E. Leach came to La Grande, Union Co., OR about 1896 and married Pearl Daphne Mills there. I believe his sister Effie came with him. Later the Leach's had 7 children at La Grande and later moved to Portland, OR. Pearl and W. E. Leach left Portland by 1922, however I believe that Effie stayed and was married there. Effie married a Mr. Brierly and died in Portland Sept. 1974. If there is anyone researching the Brierly name in Oregon, please write to me. Thanks, Lillian Kathleen Martin.
