That was Emma Brower, married to John E. Wright. However, that was just the start. After she arrived safely, she sent word to her Mother in Corydon to come out and join them. Her mother was Nancy W. Brower who was the widow of Dr. Jeremiah Brower, the Wayne Co. Judge in Corydon, but he had died 1875. So widow Nancy, with son Jeremiah Brower Jr. and 13 other Brower descendants took the Oregon Trail and reunited with Emma in La Grande. Unless you descend from a "new" Brower, and not from that early settlement, then most likely your roots go back to either Dr. Brower himself, or one of his brother's who also sent children in the first "WAVE" of Brower's to settle at La Grande. The Union Co. Website has a nice bio online about H.A. Hansen, and his wife was Sarah Brower, and this gives the whole story also. >Nancy W. Brower died in 1901 in La Grande.
