Surnames: Plumlee, Chapman, Wilson, Maurin, Conley, Graves, Cole, Teach James Plumlee, Jr., 81, a resident of Fossil (Oregon), died at his home on March 19, 2002. He was born July 18, 1920 near Woodward, Oklahoma to Jewel and James Plumlee Sr., the oldest of 12 children. He moved to the Portland area in 1955 where he worked in dairies and nurseries prior to his retirement in 1982. He lived in the Gresham area for 20 years and then moved to Fossil in 1982. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Survivors include seven daughters, Janice Chapman, Enid, Oklahoma; Marie Wilson, Tacoma (Washington); Darla Maurin and Beverly Conley, both of The Dalles; Carol Graves, Hillsboro; Michelle Cole, Bend (Oregon); Deborah Teach, Richland Center, Wisconsin; five sons, Robert Plumlee, Kenneth Plumlee and Michael Plumlee, all of Portland; William Plumlee, Hillsboro (Oregon); and Kevin Plumlee, Forest Grove (Oregon); 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juana; their son, Jerald; and two grandsons. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
