Sara is the daughter of Bruce and Pattie Waltz of McMinnville (Oregon) and Ron and Margi Hannegan of Salem (Oregon). She is a 1996 graduate of McMinnville High School and attended the University of Portland. She is employed with the Yakima (Washington) School District where she teaches kindergarten. Jason is the son of Sandi Hertel and Gary Hertel of The Dalles. He is a 1994 graduate of The Dalles High School and also attended the University of Portland.
