I have just now received 2 messages concerning my messages to the group mailing list. I happen to subscribe to a number of mailing lists, without problem. However, some one told me once that they got a message whenever I wrote, that said did they want to download some program in order to read Arabic. This is because I live in Syria, and though I only write in English, because it is the only language I know, my computor program can be switched to Arabic if you choose to do so. My Computor program in Windows and has Arabic Enhancement,though I have never used it. However, you do not have to download anything to read my messages. I would like to hear from the list if they think I should unsubscribe because of these 2 complaints. I don't want to cause any trouble, but I am descended from settlers in Oregon since 1880 and I need this list for research. I have recieved a lot of very interesting information. If my vote counts, I haven't gotten any download commands, and I'm sure ppl here are smart enough not to download anything from strangers, so I don't see what the problem is, unless Rootsweb does.. 1 since the list HAS a list manager , you all should make your complaints to me only. this spares list time, a members feelings, and offers me a chance to help my list <G> the char set here is ** charset="windows-1256" ** 2 no you should not unsubscribe 3 I downloaded the char set, it did not hurt me at all 4 I thought we were genealogists and historians , it seems to me then we need to roll with culture some what so we can learn, it dont mean we delete or run off every thing, or every one that is different or does things different, we welcome them with open happy e-mails . 5 if some one has a problem on down loading a char set, just choose cancel, you should get the biggest part if not all of the message any way !
