    1. Re: [OREGON] Rogue River War Muster In/Muster Out Records
    2. Here you are. Sorry. Thought I remembered it was from Oregon archives, BUT it was Federal Archives. Got copies for Rogue River/Civil War I also got 4th and 5th enlistment copies for my gr gr grandfather 1829 (Carondolet) and 1834 (Fort Leavenworth) in 6th Infantry. But the 6th Infantry papers are not filed with regular Military Records. They are kept in files called "Old Wars and Civil Records". I think that was what they called them. Reason is they were not really considered wars. During that time the old 6th Infantry was used to put down protect wagon trains and put down wars between Indian tribes. At least that was what I was told. I got Rogue River War: copies headed as follows: " Information form" (taken from Capt. Hardings Muster Roll. "Captain E. J. Harding's Co. "A" - Recruiting Battalion to 1st Regiment - Jan 25, 1856 to May 9, 1856 "Accounting for Payroll Capt. E. J. Harding's Co. "A" - Recruiting Battalion to 1st Regiment - Jan 25, 1856 to May 9, 1856" I ALSO got copies of Oregon's 1st Vol. Cavalry Civil War records as follows: Muster In/Muster Out Payroll record Enlistment paper Discharge Certificate Use the regularFederal Archives records request form. You get the forms from NARA on the internet. There are some great sites on the internet for the OLD forts. I dont have the link any more, but you can find for Fort Atkinson and Fort Leavenworth pretty easy. Lois
