Surnames: Stanley, Fannan, Rhodes, Male, McNemar, Olson, Abraham, Kim, Seifert Ida Lucille Stanley, 87, a former resident of The Dalles, died in a hospital in Hillsboro (Oregon) on August 3, 2002. She was born March 15, 1915, in Drain (Oregon), the youngest child to Antone B. and Maude Rhodes Fannan. She grew up and was educated in The Dalles and moved to the Milton Freewater (Oregon) area, where she met and married George Male. Together they raised one son. She moved again to the Bend (Oregon) community where she met and married Chester McNemar. Together they raised two children and also lived in Portland and Spokane (Washington). She married Andrew Stanley on October 22, 1945, in Deer Park, Washington. They have lived in the Tualatin Valley (Oregon) since the 1950s, and were married for 27 years before he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Samuel A. Stanley, Hillsboro; two daughters, Lee Olson, Alameda, California; and Twila J. Abraham, Portland; a brother, Lloyd A. Fannan, Yakima (Washington); her long time companion, Lloyd Mattingly, Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell A. Male; a daughter, Wilma Jean Kim; two sisters, Flossie McNemar and Florence M. Seifert; two brothers, Cecil and Lawrence Fannan and a grandson, Russell A. Male, Jr. Funeral services were held Friday morning at Donelson, Sewell and Mathews Mortuary in Hillsboro; and graveside services and interment were held at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard (Oregon).
