    3. Surnames: Romjue, Anderton, Novak, Chamberlain Carolyn L. (Anderton) Romjue, 72, died on August 7, 2002. She was born February 16, 1930 in Fossil (Oregon). She attended elementary school in Fossil and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1948. She had lived in the Portland metro area for 54 years. She was a secretary in the Portland Public School District for 20 years. She married Darrell E. Romjue in 1950. She was a member of the Top O' Scott Golf Club, the World War II 11th armored Division-Northwest Chapter and was active in water aerobics at Eastside Athletic Club in Portland. Survivors include her husband, Darrell; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen L. and Jerry Novak, Vancouver (Washington); two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas E. Romjue and wife, Debbie, Portland; Gerry N. Romjue and his wife, Laura, Hillsboro (Oregon); a brother, Bill Anderton, Merriam, Kansas; a sister, Maxine Chamberlain, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; and grandchildren, Michelle, Chelsie, Ashley, Jolene, Holly, Erik, Bradley and Danny. A funeral and tribute service will be held on Sunday, August 11, at 2 p.m. at Stehn's Milwaukie (Oregon) Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
