April 27, 2007 Page 6 NEW DRINKING FOUNTAIN ARRIVES THE FOUNTAIN ARRIVED--- The handsome drinking fountain for man, horse, and dog; the gift of The Dalles Epworth League, to the city arrived today, and by permission of Mrs. Chapman will be erected on the west side of Washington street, in front of the post office. The League will set it up with an appropriate ceremony. Considering the numerical strength of the League in The Dalles, this must be taken as an evidence of perseverance in a good cause.
