Surnames: Williams, Holter, Cox, Worsham, Dunbar, John A. Williams, 73, a resident of Grand Ronde (Oregon), died at his home on December 19, 2001. He was born August 20, 1928 to John and Olga (Holter) Williams in Stutsman County, North Dakota. He married Geraldine "Jerry" Cox Williams on October 3, 1949 in Jamestown, North Dakota. He moved to Oregon in 1952. He was part owner of Dave and John's Body Shop in Salem (Oregon), retiring in 1993. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine, Grand Ronde; two sons, Jeff Williams, The Dalles, and Brian Williams, Independence (Oregon); three daughters, R. Marie Williams, Burlington, Washington; Nadine Worsham, Kenmore, Washington; and Michelle Dunbar, Sumpter (Oregon) two brothers, David Williams, Amity (Oregon), and Tim Williams, Cleveland, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita, in 1993; two grandsons, his parents and two sisters. Visitation will be on Friday, December 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Services will be at 1 p.m. at that location. Vault interment will follow chapel services at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth (Oregon).
