Surnames: Durst, Healea Daniel John Durst, 39, died at his home in Hillsboro (Oregon) on December 17, 2001, three days short of his 40th birthday. He was born December 20, 1961, in Long Beach, California but spent a majority of his life in The Dalles. He worked in construction as a concrete finisher for Virg Sharp as well as his father's company, B & R Concrete. He also worked as a framer in Portland. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years, 1981 to 1984, leaving with honors as a sharpshooter and with a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Survivors include his mother, Linda Durst, Hillsboro; his father and stepmother, William J. and Kathi Durst, The Dalles; brother, Jeffrey Durst, Hillsboro; sisters, Tamara Healea, Vancouver, Washington; and Theresa Durst; and two nieces, Alexandra and Brittany Durst, Minnetonka, Minnesota; as well as numerous relatives throughout the Northwest.
