He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Survivors include seven daughters, Janice Chapman, Enid, Oklahoma; Marie Wilson, Tacoma (Washington); Darla Maurin and Beverly Conley, both of The Dalles; Carol Graves, Hillsboro; Michelle Cole, Bend (Oregon); Deborah Teach, Richland Center, Wisconsin; five sons, Robert Plumlee, Kenneth Plumlee and Michael Plumlee, all of Portland; William Plumlee, Hillsboro (Oregon); and Kevin Plumlee, Forest Grove (Oregon); 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juana; their son, Jerald; and two grandsons. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. I have Marriage Records from ORE Books (Washington Co. and Polk Co.) that I copied from Salem, ORE. There are marriages starting in 1850 or so as I found several in my family for 1852 in Bk 1. I think it depends on the County you are searching. Perhaps the book was made up of entries from newspapers, I am not sure. Bks 1-3 cover the 1850-1870 time period for those counties. Karen Beagle

So, I am looking for emigrated persons with the name Geser, Geeser, Geiser, Geisser, Gaser, Gasser, Gazer, Gaiser, Gassier. First, I have a Benedict Geser born 1819 in Southern Germany as a member of my Geser-line. He emigrated definitely to the U.S., assumably between 1851 and 1854. His Father was Carl Geser and spouse Anna Maria Schwarz. Second, I have a Benedict Geser to be found in Milwaukee City directories between 1854/55 till 1864 - after this year no traces could be found in Milwaukee. Third, I have a Benedict Geser to be found in the 1860 US Federal Census Record for Milwaukee, his home region is Wurttemberg. Also noted are his son Carl, aged 6 and his daughter Carolin, aged 5, both born in Wisconsin, and the spouse of Benedict named Barbra Beier, aged 32 and with the home region Hesse-Darmstadt. In the 1870 Federal Census Record there is no Benedict Geser neither for Wisconsin nor for other states to be found. Fourth, I have a Benedict Gasser to be found in the 1890 US Census Veterans Schedule, living in Pleasant Hill Township, Clackamas County, Oregon. Fifth, I have a Carl Gaiser, death certificate #3763, died 11 Dec 1938, Portland County, Oregon. Sixth, I have a Carl F. Gaiser, no certificate number, died 27 Apr 1944, Portland County, Oregon. Thank you for your response. I have since found the William H. Gibson I was looking for in the 1920 Wallawa County Census. My next task is to try to locate obituaries, but one of the libraries have told me they don't do that nor does any of the other libraries in that county. Any ideas on that? I have found the Sister's of my Great Grandfather, both in Portland, OR.: 1. Mary E. Reynolds b. Dec. 10, 1873 d. Jun 15, 1966 2. Effie Catherine Bierly b. March 21, 1878 d. Sept. 1974 Both of these ladies were born in Salem, Columbiana Co., OH. and both died in Portland, Or. They are the daughters of James A. Leach and Mary E. Miller of Salem, OH. I am descended from their brother Willian Edgar Leach born Nov. 6, 1872 Salem, OH. I wish to find any Reynolds or Bierly researchers of Oregon. Lillian Kathleen Martin
