    3. Tempoary offer while the weather is nice l;-) Oncce a week I go out looking up things for people in the local cemeterys If there Is a headstone you would like a picture for around the Stayton, Turner, Marion, area with in a reasonable distance I will use my digital and send you a pic in youe e-mail. ( no charge) Why doI do this ? It helps me learn the Area, and also I am doing research in some of these places. I take 32 pictures at a time as this camera only takes 32 fine and 96 low res which I dontr use much. They show real nice at 1024 x 768 screen setting and print like a real photo if you have your printer res set up to high quality. I have founded the Stayton Santiam genealogy society and am collecting more items for it, any one who has a donation of any thing we can use. I will be more active this winter inside also when the weather get colder <G> Any one in the area from Stayton and Samtiam area on this list who wants to help out are welcome, I am working up my old 40 foot trailer house to house this so there will be no cost for space, plus have lots or parking . once set up this old house will be all done as a history area, I am using it as my computer shop for not but have been moving them to another building that is smaller. You can see my website for more. Dan Genealogy Community see http://www.wvi.com/~wb

    1. [OREGON] Guardianship
    2. My great-grandmother's address was 410 Washington Street, Portland when she died in Sept. 1898. When she died, her 4 children were orphaned and the German Aid Society determined that W. T. Gardner, Supt. of Boys and Girls Aid Society, was a "suitable" person to be appointed as guardian. In 1899 another guardian was appointed for the oldest son. In 1903 it was reported that the youngest daughter (my grandmother) was in an excellent home and was well cared for. My questions are: On Census, 410 Washington St. would be in what precinct? How can I find more information about the German Aid Society. Where would I find information about the guardians of these children? Thank you for any help you can give me. Edel
