I guess if I want people to see the database it would be a good idea to include the URL <http://www.oregongenealogy.com/baker/baker_county_marriage_database.htm> http://www.oregongenealogy.com/baker/baker_county_marriage_database.htm Thanks Judy
We have just put on line Baker County Marriages 1862-1980, this will be a great tool for any of you searching Baker County, Oregon. This database contains about 15,000 marriages. In the comment section they have other county issued liscense's, we take this to mean they got the license in another county but were married in Baker County. Happy Searching Judy
Hi Judy. Is there a link? 1910 Federal Census for Oregon, Klamath County shows George H. and Maud HAYDEN as being married 9 years. One son, Marion G. age 6 is listed. Census data indicates that Maud gave birth to 4 children with only 1 living. Georges' occupation is listed as Jeweler in own store. 1920 Federal Census for Oregon, Wheeler County shows George H. and Maud HAYDEN along with son Marion. George is manager of a Saw Mill. Did not find either Maud or Marion in the 1930 Census. Dale: Thanks for the census information; it gives me considerable more information that I previously had. I'll keep plugging away at this family. There is a William Hayden in Toledo from a very old family. Might check there. Looking for descendants/researchers of the family of Maud Carsner (b.4-16-1878 Grant Co., OR) who married George H. Hayden (d.10-11-1929 Multnomah Co., OR). They were married 12-24-1900 in Wheeler Co., OR. Did they have children? Who were they? Am endeavoring to fill in some gaps in my family lines.
Looking for descendants/researchers of Grace L. Casner (b.1906, Wheeler Co., OR) that married Earl Williams. Did they have children? Who were they? Am endeavoring to fill in some gaps in my Casner line.
been working on moving files from old computer to new computer and as for oregongravestones.org - that is dependent on submissions from folks like you. I have been checking & verifying submissions and releasing them to public. Now 925 records, but New York bypassed Oregon and has over 1,000 and approaching 1,100 already over the weekend with lot more yet to be released to public view. I will resume as soon as I am done with the old computer. I was going to write David in private, but I was thinking that more people might have the same feeling as I do. Since David mentioned his cemetery project, I have been re hashing some of my files and ideas - also it has increased my interests in doing things again. I got a bit lugged down with yard work and spring cleaning <G> We went to the Champoeg yesterday but was late for the meeting, we had company from out of state and got a late start. I had never been there before, so I got a tad lost. How ever it is a very nice place and I remember the History of Joe Meek well, it was a thrill to stand on the very spot where it all happened and remembering the humor in the stories of Joe Meek, I had to tell the story to my wife and daughter and son in law who went with us. Put some humor back. My daughter with her 2 babies was getting tired of taking them in and out of the car while we were looking for the right place, we did see the DAR museum for a few minutes before it closed. Dan Matney
David I have not seen much posted on your project lately. What has been going on so far ? Dan M

Stella Bellingham Satern recently wrote and published a book 'The Nehalem River Valley' which tracks the history of the valley and its pioneers from 1850 through 2002. Was published by binford & Mort Publishing, Portland, OR. Though most of you are more interested in the Willamette Valley area I thought this new book might be of interest to some of you. Has anyone received a reply from the Oregon State Archives email system? I have emailed them 4 times over the past two months and have never received a reply. I use the email address for library info and followed instructions not to ask research questions. By snail mail I get good response. Would appreciate others' comments. Helen

On the Oregon Marriages, 1906-20 I got: Name: Ganty, Louise County: Multnomah Marriage Date: 23 N 1909 I didn't find Frank Tyther in the search. I found: Name: Anderson, O A County: Multnomah Marriage Date: 11 Jun 1913 But only as a possibility for Ora Andersen. Ali
Found this on BLM site The Bureau of Land Management announced today that it has restored public access to its national Website (www.blm.gov), which the agency had taken down for several weeks while it resolved issues relating to Internet security. Although the BLM’s state-specific Websites are not yet reconnected to the World Wide Web, the Bureau is working to get those up and running in the near future. However still can not get to land patents, but it might be worth checking in more often now. I am running out of Master Title Plat maps. I need to get some more. to finish my DLC project.
Looking for confirmation of the marriage record of Frank Tyther and Louise Ganty dated Nov. 23, 1909. So I can order the certificate, I believed they were married in Portland. Also looking for the marriage date fro Prosper Ganty and Rachel Jane Stevenson, could also be Jane Rachel Stevenson. Have no date. Another marriage Gustave Ganty and Ora or Orlinka Andersen in Portland also. Thank you for your help. Ida F. Hall Burbank, CA
