This talk of passion for Orkney being put into words... I feel it is the time for me to chip in here and tell all - i've just had my book published!! Historical fiction entitled "Merrybegotten" by Fiona Williamson Pearson. Set on Fair Isle and Orkney in the 1800s, loosely based on ancestors, family saga. In stock in the Orcadian Bookshop and online too - it's the first in the list of Orkney/Orcadian fiction!!! VERY excited about my dream come true. It was published mid July, just before my week in Orkney - which was w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l! Cover photos kindly from Dave Wheeler on Fair Isle.
