Recieved excellent recommendations for a chap called Hans-Juergen Marter 2 weeks ago. He is a German living in Shetland since 10 years or so and runs there together with his partner the Shetland-News-Agency. He offers walking tours for individuals and small groups in Shetland and Orkney and the Highlands. Recommendations came both from German and British folks who did 5 days Orkney and a week in the Highlands. Just to be prepared: They were young folks (mid 20ies) but highlighted the fact, that you have to be fit, if you are walking with him. :-) He is actually out in the Highlands for 10 days or so.
