    3. Tuck - I think some people choose to live an isolationist life, I agree on the wider scale that is impossible as you say. The recent volcanic ash problem showed just how natural events in other parts of the globe affect our daily lives here in Orkney with the impact of cancelled flights (essential for hospital appointments as well as having an effect on business and tourist travel). Natural and man-made disasters affect us all. Next year Tuck hopefully I'll get to meet *you* too!
