I watched the videos from Jayster95 on YouTube, and the part to watch with Orkney [decent lot of footage compared to the other stops] is Season 13, episode 4, part 4. If you watch Part 3, it shows the challenge in the beginning at the very southermost island in England, racing a letter posted to the Royal Mail to a house in Birsay. Episode 4 takes you into Scotland and has more scenery and you see the ferry at John O' Groats. The challenge is ended by about 7 minutes, 45 seconds into the almost 10 minute section. The conclusion was if you want to get a letter from the south of England to the Orkney Islands by the fastest method, buy a stamp...it will arrive before noon the next day even with a racecar as a challenger. I didn't hear how much time they lost by...but it couldn't have been by much. Thanks to Victoria for posting about Jayster95'[s videos and to Karen for her first notice. I really enjoyed this race, as I don't have the channels to watch this on TV...wish my computer could have run it smoothly without all the stops but it was great to see Orkney in the sunshine !!! Anyone know when they actually had this race ? Meg Greenwood --------------------------------------
