After reading about clapshot (which I still also make) I was wondering if anyone had a recipe as such for stovies - a potato dish also, with onions and cooked in milk as I remember. My Orcadian grandmother always cooked it on 'wash day' and put it on in the morning and let it cook most of the day. Pat in Terrace, B.C.
