Hello Bill! What are you talking about ...? A medieval order of chivalry/knighthood like Knights Templar or about IOGT founded in the early days of the 19th century in Fayetteville? At the times of Washington Irving there definitely were no Knights Templar anymore but he or his father or both might have been members of IOGT - as might have been Dr. J. Rae (not really unusual for a physichian of his days). The question is quite simple: Did he fight against muslims and other enimies of the holy Roman church or did he fight against drugs and drinks (although IOGT is somehowe based in the free religious ideas of freemasonry) ...? cu Wolfgang
