Two new Pictish carvings are to go on display for the first time later this month. Originally from Burray, the tiny carvings were discovered earlier this year by bone specialist Dave Lawrence, who was working through a selection of bones recovered when sand extraction at the Bu Sands in the 1980s disturbed an unknown archaeological site.
