Stephen, Regarding your reference to the Foxfire books there are a number of publications In the Orkney dialect that are not out of print. Sigurd could maybe recommend a list of the ones that are available at the Orcadian. I am thinking of ones like; Willick an' the Black Black Oil, And then there are some on tape also. Gregor Lamb has one or two and there is a book and tape by C.M. Costie. Much material, it is just not all under the one blanket heading like Foxfire. Jim C.
