Yep, the food alone would be of interest. I was very blessed to receive some bere ground up as flour from a very nice Orcadian who sent it to me in the mail. It was a real surprise that he would send this, along with original recipes. He is a great ambassador for Orkney, and his flour is the best. Makes great biscuits and bannock. Wonderful fellow. I remember the discussions about bannock last year and saved some of those. Don't know if I'll ever try making it, but it sounded very good. There is som much about Orkney that is unique and specila that I fell I've just begun to scratch the surface. I look do so look forward to m trip out htere next month.
