Hi: The only Wright Deavitt/Devit in Durham County that I can find didn't die in 1852 as he and his family are listed on the 1861 census as well. Perhaps you typed 1852 as his death year in error as on the 1871 census, his wife, Mary Ann, was a widow and their last-listed child was born in 1866. There was another Wright Devitt family in York County, born abt 1796 in Ireland and his wife was named Elizabeth. They had a son named Wright Devitt born about 1846, also in Ireland. Perhaps the Elizabeth McLennan name that you found was for this elder Wright Devitt located in York County.
