    3. William ABBOTT, Corporal in His Majesty's 6th Regiment of Foot 30 years of age, died Nov 9th 1799 and was buried Nov 10th 1799 by the Deputy Chaplain to the Garrison of Quebec and his one month old daughter was also batized that same day. My question is would there be any reason for William to be in Vermont in the U.S. married and possibly having a child (possibly of Indian descent) born in Vermont yet headed back to Quebec shortly after the baby was born.
