Yes Nova Scotia is part of Canada. And just like you have state archives, we have provincial archives. Also the following website has some good information. https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ This link will take you to a page that has a chart regarding vital statistics. Here's my dilemna: I have new info that John Wilson was born on the Atlantic Ocean, (from census record) but the birth was registered in Nova Scotia. I live in Missouri, USA. I'm just learning about the geography of Canada. Yes, I know! American are dumb about our neighbor to the North. <G> I did a search online, but nothing concrete comes up. Is Nova Scotia a part of Canada like Ontario and Quebec or ? Got to be cause PEI is further east and that's part of Canada. Anyway - long day, I'm tired and rambling. How do I access birth records for Nova Scotia? How do I find out which years are available? Now that I have this lead, where do I go with it? ANY help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
