TPL, Toronto Directories, for 1938: told me that "Castlefield avenue" was in FAIRBANK area of Toronto and had no surnames in the Toronto Directory. When I do any web searches for Fairbank, I get an area near Bathurst and Dufferin streets and north of Eglinton. But the area I am searching is further East at #7, Castlefield ave, near Yonge. Would this have also been part of "Fairbank"? Does anyone know how I could search for surnames at residences on Castlefield earlier than 1940? thanks Liz of BC
if you do a google search on maps, it shows Castlefield Ave Toronto as being near the Fairbanks Hotel & Fairbanks Memorial Park at Dufferin & Eglinton ________________________________ From: harvieandliz <hebarker@shaw.ca> To: ONTARIO@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 3:07:44 PM Subject: [ONTARIO] Fairbank area 1940 TPL, Toronto Directories, for 1938: told me that "Castlefield avenue" was in FAIRBANK area of Toronto and had no surnames in the Toronto Directory.
