I guess the National Registration is useful, as i found it, if you really dont know where someone went, or where they lived in 1940 and available censuses were for a much earlier time. So for us, the revelation that WILLIAM RICHARDSON actually lived in Toronto was very important and I hope has opened more doors to finding family for today. I think i just go lucky. liz of BC On Jan 16, 2012, at 4:04 PM, Joyce Stevens wrote: > > Got my grandfather's years ago and it was actually a disappointment. > No new > info. Hello Listers, Can someone tell me what it costs to get copies of records from the archives? I found Caroline Wilson 1838 - 1920 on an index and now need to get the records. A private individual states that he can get them for me for $15.00. Is that possible that he can get them without completing the Freedom of Information paper that I would have to do? I want to be sure that I'm receiving ALL of the available records. How long does it take to get records from the archives? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Dee Sager P.S. I'm still working on the Nova Scotia birth possibility for my John Wilson 1791-1869. No luck so far, but I'm learning lots of new things. :-) NS is a very interesting province.
