I've been following the discussion on cemeteries with much interest since I'm trying to find where a relative, who lived in Hamilton, was buried. Marcia, how did you find the email address for the county cemetery supervisor? Question#2: I'm sure there are many cemeteries in Hamilton. Where do I find a list of the cemeteries? Hi Coy, Hamilton City website has a list of cemeteries: http://www.hamilton.ca/CityDepartments/PublicWorks/Parks/Cemeteries/ A contact email is also there. Public Works or the equivalent in many towns/cities is often the arm responsible for cemeteries. Most Hamilton cemeteries have been transcribed. Hamilton Public Library holds these in their Local History and Archives department. http://www.myhamilton.ca/public-library Microform Copies are also available by Interlibrary Loan from Library and Archives of Ontario. http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/archival-records/interloan/cemetery.aspx Good luck!
