It's funny, but for about a week now, searches of Births have given poor results. A search for Johnson born any time results in NO hits. A search for anybody in county Bruce results in a large number of hits of births where the mother's maiden name was Bruce. I think Ancestry owes everybody a week's credit for these databases being useless. Hi: I have noticed so difficulties as well and assume that it has something to do with the additional years of reg's that they are adding. As well, perhaps they are going to add additional fields to use when searching. I just tried searching Ontario birth reg's for Johnson only, no first name or date, got over 4000 hits. Then I searched all births of any surname in Bruce County and got over 51,000 hits. Perhaps they are up and running now. You could always contact them and ask for one.
