    3. Hello, I'm writing from Scotland, and wonder can anyone lay claim to these 2 Cathrine McLeans below. I saved them some time ago from Ancestry CA incase they might turn out to be mine. Perhaps someone may tell me who they are. MY own Cathrine McLean was Cathrine Boyd b. ABT 1800 Mull Scotland, she was married there, 9 March 1824,( she was in Shiaba, he in Kinloch) to Duncan McLean b. ABT 1798 Mull Scotland. They and their family ,Angus b. 1825, Margaret b. 1827, Hector b. 1830, Hannah (Una)(my gr-grandmother) b. 1834 and Duncan b. 1840 are in Shiaba in 1841 census, but then disappear. I have only been able to find Hannah who met and married my gr-grandfather in Cardross Scotland, and her sister Margaret who is also there in 1891 census. I have no idea if they emigrated when Shiaba was cleared. Jo Curries's book 'McLeans' lists the family in 1841 and mentions that, this Duncan may be the one who was buried in Lovat Cemetery aged 88yrs, a native of Mull', so I thought she may have further knowledge of why she thought they may have emigrated to Canada. I contacted her but unfortunately that info had come from someone who had transcribed headstone inscriptions in Lovat Cemetery some years previously and she had no further info, as to whether it meant the father Duncan b. ABT 1798 or son Duncan b. 1840. If anyone could help find out more on that Duncan McLean, I'd be really grateful, if only to eliminate him from my 'possibles' The 2 Cathrine McLean deaths I had saved are; 1)County of Middlesex / Division of Caradoc , page 547 Number at bottom; 008314 ( the 2nd 0 maybe a 3 or 9) Cathrine McLean Died; September 7th 1878 age 72yrs. Farmers Wife. Born: Scotland Presbyterian. 2) County of York / Division of Toronto Page 268 Number 732 Cathrine McLean Died; February 18th 1892, age 94yrs. There is another number underneath this 021375 Born; Scotland c.o.d; Bronchitis 3 wks Presbyterian. Again, if anyone knows anything of who they are, that would be great, Many thanks, Margaret ( Scotland)
