To follow up on this, should also mention that some of the Ships bringing children over were torpedoed and many children's lives were lost at sea. There are clippings on this Reel telling the story. It came to mind that if hundreds of these children were lost at sea and back home maybe the parents of some were killed in the war, would there be accurate death registrations completed? If so, where would they be, Canada, U.S., UK or all three? Would the Manifests be destroyed? Paper trail in U.K. lost due to bombings?
