    3. Hi Bonnie. Your mother would first appear in the 1931 Census and each Census up to 1996. National Censuses were conducted every ten years on years ending in '1' and Censuses for the Prairie provinces were held every ten years on years ending in '6'. From 1956 the National Census was conducted every five years on years ending in '1' and '6'. Gordon A.
