Work is continuing in Sudbury District. The huge Park Lawn Cemetery in Sudbury is done and online. * 3. More volunteers have joined the effort to photograph all cemeteries in Cochrane District. * 4. More work is being done on Muskoka District Cemeteries. * 5. Volunteers are starting work on Rainy River and Thunder Bay Districts. * * BREAKING NEWS. ************* * 1. Over the past 7 years I have been asked by Out-Of-Province folks, "If I photographed local cemeteries, can I send the pictures to you and have them placed online?" At the time, I told these folks that I was concentrating only on Northern Ontario. * 2. However, I have now started building a website: http://gravemarkers.ca .....! On this new site I can accommodate photographs of complete cemeteries from anywhere in Canada. * 3. Cemeteries photographed early in the project were not "spousal-duplicated". This means a photo which has the spouse's maiden name showing, is duplicated and when one searches for a surname, the spouse's name will be a search "hit". * 2. The majority of cemeteries are spousal duplicated now and thanks to the help of kind volunteers, we are working away to make sure the entire project is "spousal-duplicated". * 3. The speed at which cemeteries are photographed depends mostly on the price of gas for our cars to reach distant cemeteries.
